How To Find Your Vehicle's RPO Codes

RPO codes are a series of 3 digits that represent a specific component or option on your vehicle. Knowing what your RPO codes mean will allow you to order the correct lines for your car.

When ordering a set of transmission, fuel, brake, or steering system lines from LinesToGo, there may be a section that asks for your vehicle’s RPO code.

The Four Methods To Find Your RPO Code

Ordering a set of replacement lines without knowing your RPO code may result in lines that do not fit correctly. RPO codes can be found in the following ways:

  • • Glovebox sticker
  • • Door jamb or driver door sticker
  • • QR code sticker – often found on newer vehicles
  • • Dealership – supply them with your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)

Depending on your vehicle's year, make, and model, the RPO codes may be in different places. First, check the glovebox for a sticker with a list of short three-digit numbers.

“Vehicles that are built with specific RPO codes will require lines that are specifically designed to work with or around those components.”

Many vehicles also have a sticker on the door jamb – usually on the driver’s side – that list the RPO codes. Newer vehicles may simply have a QR code that needs to be scanned to get the RPO codes.

If none of these options work for your vehicle, you will need to contact your dealer using your vehicle’s VIN number to get the RPO codes. The VIN number is usually printed on the base of each window and is also in the owner’s handbook.
